Holiday Bazaar Update 2023 - November 4th is fast approaching and we are preparing for another wonderful holiday bazaar after the year it’s been! This community event is so special to our parish because it brings everyone together with holiday fun-filled spirit and raises money for the parish. We plan to make this a safe environment so we can all enjoy the annual kick off to the holiday season! Below are some areas where you can help to make this year the best Bazaar yet!
The Children’s Room is always looking for “gifts” that children can buy for their family and friends. Any unused/gently used items such as costume jewelry, purses, golf items, books, toys and so on can be donated to this room. Please start a bag/box of items you can donate! The kids LOVE this opportunity to buy for their families. Small gift boxes, wrapping paper and tape are always needed. Leave your donation in the parish office during office hours. Tax deductible receipts available. Last year, the Children’s Room was moved to the pavilion and it was a big success! This is a nice open building so we need many donations to fill it!
The Treasure Table is back! The successful Treasure Table is also looking for donations or consigned items to fill it! Please consider digging out treasures from your house to donate or consign to this area. Some examples are: Antiques (yes, small furniture), vintage linens, lamps, costume jewelry, china/glassware, pictures, frames, old toys, fun, cool old stuff! If you choose to donate, all $ will go to our parish, if you choose to consign, 15% goes to the parish and the rest to you! For consignments: price your items and label clearly with your name on the price tag. Bring items to the parish office by November 3rd. For information contact Mary Grace Stokes 503-231-5703
The Bakery Booth is another big hit! Donate some yummy baked goods and drop them off in the parish hall on Thursday, Nov. 4rd 8-9am, Friday Nov 4th 8-3pm or on the morning of the Bazaar. We can sell them at the Bakery Booth with 100% proceeds for our parish! You can package them, or we can do it for you. Cakes, muffins, cookies, candies, pies, preserves or any sweet or savory treat is welcome! A special callout for gluten-free yummies! Not a baker? You can purchase items and donate them, as well!
VOLUNTEER! We know the bazaar can't be successful without your help! Volunteering at the bazaar is a fun and easy way to enjoy the bazaar. Sign up online at www.allsaintsportland.org/holiday-bazaar. Hours count as Fair Share hours and High School community service hours! Contact Laura Fricke 503-422-9072, if you have any questionslaurafricke@yahoo.com
